Finnish disc golf star Väinö Mäkelä knows a lot about Teebird discs and scoring on the course. On tour, he carries five Teebird discs in his bag, with varying degrees of stability, which do most of the work from the tee . Sure, his Destroyer discs can fly a little further in some winds, but gram for gram the Teebird simply gets the job done with less effort. The Teebird is no slouch when it comes to long distance either; it once held the world record at 247 meters, or an impressive 810 feet. That’s pretty impressive for such a controllable fairway driver.

Väinö Mäkelä isn't the only one who believes Innova founder Dave Dunipace has created a great design. Most other manufacturers have tried to copy the Teebird, all with varying results.
